On Saturday, October 13, 2012 the Anderson-Shiro Elementary will host it's 1st annual Hooty Hustle 5 K Run and 1 mile Walk/Run.  The run will start at the Anderson-Shiro Elementary and proceed through the Historic Downtown area.

The  district has made a conscious effort to promote a healthy lifestyle by taking care of our bodies both physically and mentally.  

 The funds raised from the Hooty Hustle will go to support our Literacy Program by buying materials including; books, e-books, technology software, and tablets.  Their children are facing a future of learning unlike that of any previous generation.  They will be challenged by the world of technology and all that it holds.  It is their job as educators, parents, and community leaders to make sure they have all the tools of which to accomplish this.
