'NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC' UNVEILS MOST TYPICAL HUMAN FACE:National Geographic has put together an image of what it says is the most typical human face on the planet, part of its series called Population 7 Billion. Researchers found that the most common person on the planet is a 28-year-old Han Chinese man, with nine million of them alive. National Geographic then made a composite of nearly 200,000 photos of men who fit that description, and declared it the world's most typical face. They put out a video explaining it, and noting that within 20 years, the most typical person will be from India.
People in Idaho were urged to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of dihydrogen monoxide since it:
1. can cause excessive sweating and vomiting
2. is a major component in acid rain
3. can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
4. can kill you if inhaled
5. contributes to erosion
6. decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
7. has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients
Of the 150 people who were asked to support a ban of the chemical, 143 signed the petition. 6 weren't sure. 1 knew that dihydrogen monoxide is water.
Nathan Zohner, a freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High, conducted this survey and later won first prize for it at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair on January 26, 1997. The title of his prize winning project: "How Gullible Are We?"

All my life I have heard it said.."there is an order, a law to the universe, everything works in a certain way." Scientists love to quote this and study it. This little video I think has some major implications if you consider what it is showing in not only the absolute, but also the abstract. One voice, one person, one contribution regardless of size or amount, even minuscule can make a difference in a tremendous way.
