All residents are encouraged to step outside on this evening, meet their neighbors and visit with local law enforcement officers, who will be stopping at neighborhood block parties throughout the evening upon request. Block parties typically start after 5:00 pm and head into the evening hours.

If you are a Texas A&M University student on campus, the University Police Department along with the Department of Residence Life will be hosting community gatherings at The Commons, and White Creek Community Center October 1, 2019, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The goal of NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is to heighten awareness for crime and drug abuse prevention, to generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
